As we move into a new decade, a focus on "partners, efficiencies and customers", supported
by our employee expertise, aligns well with the Strategic Plan and vision we adopted in
2006 and the Crown Sector priorities the Government of Saskatchewan has established.
Overall, 2009 was a solid operational and financial year for SaskEnergy, in a time when
the oil and gas industry continued to experience significant change. The impact of shale
gas on North American supply/demand dynamics and the ongoing plans for meeting GHG reduction
targets are just two salient examples. Change need to be effectively managed without
compromising our longstanding core priorities of providing safe and reliable service
and maintaining the integrity of our extensive pipeline infrastructure. To help us get the
job done, we're fortunate enough to employ some of the most highly competent and dedicated
natural gas professionals in North America. We have also built a corporate culture strong
enough to realize that we work better together, with business partners, customers and the
community. It's not just a platitude at SaskEnergy; it is how we approach our work.
