Education
The more minds are fostered, nurtured, and
fed . . . the more they grow.
The more they grow . . . the more our province grows.
A project that would fit into the
Education category is SaskEnergy's support of the Saskatchewan
Literacy Foundation. Projects that help shape young people by supporting skill development like Junior
Achievement, youth career fairs, or leadership conferences are included in this area, too. Anything to help
grow minds.
Projects in the Education section can fall into one of the following areas:
- Science and Technology
- Literacy
- Leadership
- Future of Youth
Project Example:
The First Nations Summer Science Camp
SaskEnergy -- along with the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations -- sponsored 40 Aboriginal
students to attend a summer science camp. Twenty SaskEnergy employees helped the kids participate in
activities designed to nurture a love of learning and to spark interest in science and math.
