At SaskEnergy we are proud to report our employees willingly participate in Company
driven community initiatives that make our province a dynamic place to live and work. In 2006 we implemented a
new employee volunteerism policy that encourages employees to make time for volunteering and to initiate their
own worthwhile projects on behalf of the Company.
The Great Food Fight of 2007
SaskEnergy Place was stop number three of 16 Regina businesses for the Regina Food Bank's
Downtown Challenge on Friday, October 12th. The Downtown Challenge benefited the Regina
Food Bank as part of the Great Food Fight of 2007. The volunteer team from FCC and many
SaskEnergy employees helped load up the tractor and trailer, driven by Jack FM's Bill and Woody.
A
Bicycle Built for Two ... scratch that...thirty!
Much like the Triacontahedron (a thirty-faced object), there were 30 faces out at the
Heart and Stroke Foundation's Big Bike event in Regina. SaskEnergy employees raised money to win great
prizes, and of course for the chance to ride a 30-person bike!
Day of Caring: It's all in the Numbers!
On Wednesday June 7, SaskEnergy and TransGas employees in
Regina participated in the 10th anniversary of the United Way Day of Caring.
A decade ago this started as a one-day initiative, but has evolved into a week-long
event where volunteers participate in projects that benefit the community or support
organizations that are in need of help.
