Share The Warmth - Helping Communities Across Saskatchewan This Winter
When winter temperatures drop, community organizations across Saskatchewan are often the first to respond. They provide warm meals, winter clothing, food hampers, shelter supports, mental health services and other programs that help people feel safe, supported and connected.
SaskEnergy’s Share the Warmth program strengthens these efforts by providing grants of up to $1,000 to eligible charitable organizations for projects that address local needs. The program gives organizations the flexibility to respond to the unique needs of the people they serve.
Since 2013, Share the Warmth has supported more than 650 community projects across Saskatchewan and provided more than $630,000 to local organizations. In 2025-26 alone, SaskEnergy distributed $100,000 to 115 charitable organizations, supporting projects that brought warmth and comfort to communities throughout the province.
Heating Affordability Program
The Heating Affordability Program (HAP) offers income-qualifying homeowners the opportunity to replace their low-efficiency furnace with a high-efficiency furnace at no cost.
The program is available to help residential homeowners who may be facing financial barriers lower their monthly energy bills over the long-term and reduce the risk of a carbon monoxide leak.
Funding is available to replace 50 qualifying low-efficiency furnaces with spots filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Community Sport Initiatives
For more than 20 years, SaskEnergy has been supporting access to sport for youth and those experiencing disability through programs like KidSport & Special Olympics Saskatchewan. Access to sports helps build skills such as leadership, confidence, teamwork and fuels healthy habits for life.
SaskEnergy is proud to be the official volunteer sponsor for KidSport Saskatchewan and Special Olympics Saskatchewan. KidSport Saskatchewan provides funding to more than 6,000 kids every year, granting over $1million to creating opportunities to access and participate in sports. Special Olympics Saskatchewan provides year-round low to no cost sport programs to more than 1,100 people with intellectual disability.
Employee Giving
Our employees are leaders in giving back to their community either through work-led initiatives or through personal contributions. Corporate fundraising events occur to create awareness and to contribute to causes that have the greatest impact within the community. For over 20 years, employees across the province help promote and raise funds for the United Way.
The United Way brings together organizations and individuals to share ideas and provide solutions to current challenges within the community.
