The Volunteer Spirit
Volunteerism is alive and well in Saskatchewan. In fact, we have the highest provincial
volunteer rate in Canada. More than half (59 per cent) of our citizens are involved in
community initiatives, and now it’s time for you to show how much you care. No cause is
too small and no idea is too big, so join Team Energy today and have fun while making a
difference in your community.
Leadership
Participating in volunteer projects is great, but developing your own is even better. And
with so many worthy causes in your own back yard, all it takes is a little creativity and
planning to show that you have a lot of heart.
Show Us What You Can Do
As one of the biggest cheerleaders of youth volunteerism, SaskEnergy can help turn your big
ideas into reality.
Check out the following funding opportunities that SaskEnergy offers through its
Team Energy grant program to help get you started.
Then, tell us how you and your friends plan to preserve the environment or improve the lives
of people in your community.
Since 2005, SaskEnergy has given over $66,000 to help fund
more than 125 successful Team Energy youth volunteer projects.
Community Spirit Grants
Plan a community service project, and SaskEnergy funding can help make
it happen. Assist seniors, mentor children, care for animals, feed the
hungry – the number of ways by which you can improve the quality of life for people in
your community are endless. So, develop a proposal and SaskEnergy will provide
a Team Energy grant of up to $1,000 for eligible projects.
Enviro-Action Grants
SaskEnergy will also provide teams with up to $1,000 in funding needed
to take on an environmental stewardship project.
Our planet is suffering and now is the time to take action, change attitudes
and improve the world, one community at a time.
