List of organizations SaskEnergy/TransGas supports that enhances Science and Environment education in Saskatchewan:

  • Conservation Learning Centre, Prince Albert - regional program providing environmental education

  • Destination Conservation - SaskEnergy partners with SaskPower and the Saskatchewan Environmental Society to sponsor this province-wide program through school divisions to implement energy conservation measures over a three year term

  • T-Rex Centre, Eastend - SaskEnergy sponsors the school archaeological and paleontological outreach education programs

  • EYES Science Camps, University of Regina - SaskEnergy supports this annual Engineering student initiative that educates nearly 1000 students annually about science and engineering.

  • SCI-FI Science Camps, University of Saskatchewan - SaskEnergy supports this annual Engineering student initiative that educates nearly 1000 students annually about science and engineering

  • Climate Change Education Saskatchewan - SaskEnergy partners with SaskPower to support this federally funded project which is in the process of developing teaching resources for K - 12 that will enhance understanding of energy efficiency and the importance of conserving our resources

  • FSIN Summer Science Festivals - SaskEnergy supports these important science learning opportunities for aboriginal youth that help foster a desire to pursue sciences in their future schooling and careers

  • Native Plant Society of Saskatchewan - SaskEnergy provides funding to conduct native vegetation and ecology related workshops for thousands of middle years students at the Brightwater Science and Environmental Centre outside of Saskatoon

  • Burrowing Owl Interpretive Centre, Moose Jaw - SaskEnergy continues to provide key funding for the "Owls on Tour" program to promote habitat protection and understanding of the challenges faced by local species at risk

  • Prairie Conservation Action Plan, SaskEnergy and TransGas both provide sponsorship for the annual "Eco-Extravaganza" conducted in dozens of schools to promote habitat protection and environmental conservation to thousands of children.

  • Saskatchewan Dutch Elm Disease Association - SaskEnergy provided funding for the resource package currently available in schools to assist students in understanding forests and how a threat like dutch elm disease can impact a community, particularly the urban forest.

  • Saskatchewan Waste Management Council - SaskEnergy has assisted the council for three years in continuing effort to promote conservation among students in Saskatchewan schools, including, less consumerism, recycling, conservation, energy efficiency, etc.

  • Saskatchewan Forestry Association - SaskEnergy is one of the sponsors providing funds for the recently published forestry education booklet for youth highlighting forestry issues and conservation measures of the industry.

  • Saskatchewan Science Centre - "Mysteries of the Marsh" is an exciting, hands-on field education program that involves kids in learning about the ecology of a marsh environment and engages them in ongoing research activities.

  • Saskatchewan Science Teachers Society ASSIST Program - Teachers benefit from SaskEnergy’s commitment at this worthwhile annual workshop that introduces the latest in science education for educators at all levels.

  • Ecology Camp for Kids, University of Saskatchewan - SaskEnergy is one of many sponsors supporting this fun, hands-on program engaging youth in the study of the natural world around them.

  • Saskatchewan Regional Science Fairs Association - SaskEnergy is the official sponsor of Science Fairs in Saskatchewan which produces many exciting projects that result in national medals for Saskatchewan students on a regular basis.
