Clothes Dryer
Dry clothes faster & save...
Your natural gas dryer offers faster drying than
conventional electric units because a greater volume of dry, absorbent
air passes through the clothes. A natural gas dryer heats up instantly to
full temperature with clean, moist heat that actually reduces wrinkles
and static. Gentle, moist heat means less need for fabric softeners.
Best of all, natural gas dryers operate at about half the cost of
electric dryers.
The only thing less expensive is hanging your clothes
outside on the line!

Time and energy saving tips:
-
Run only full loads in the washer and dryer. Drying
partial loads uses just as much gas as full loads, but do not
overload the dryer as that increases drying time.
-
Do not over-dry clothes. Over-drying wastes gas and
gives a harsh feel to garments. Using the shortest cycle possible
will minimize over-drying problems.
-
Clean the lint trap after every load.
-
Check the vent on the dryer and the exterior vent
occasionally to make sure they stay free of lint, and can open and
close freely. The dryer should be vented outdoors to remove damp air
and lint.

Installation
When installing your natural gas clothes dryer, it is
essential that a qualified natural gas contractor do the work.
Gas dryers must be vented to the outdoors with a metal
vent.
Installation costs vary depending on the location of the
dryer and the installation materials used.
