Natural Gas Service
Becoming a SaskEnergy Customer
At SaskEnergy, we look forward to providing you with
natural gas service. If your property has an existing natural gas
service, please contact us at 1-800-567-8899 to apply for service in
your name. When you become a SaskEnergy customer, you agree to our
Terms and
Conditions of Service
Under SaskEnergy’s
Term’s and
Conditions of Service once we receive your application for service,
we may request information necessary to confirm identity, to provide a
service, to collect on accounts in the future and ensure the proper
functioning of SaskEnergy’s business.
SaskEnergy generally requires two identifiers. You may choose to provide
two of the following: date of birth, driver’s license number, health
services number, treaty card number or mother’s maiden name. By
supplying these identifiers, it will be less likely that you will be
confused with other individuals claiming to be you. An example of when
these identifiers are used is when we need to identify you over the
telephone.
Providing your health services number is optional and it is your
decision as to whether you provide it as one of your two chosen
identifiers.
Bringing Natural Gas to Your Area
SaskEnergy representatives will be happy to work with
you to make your project successful, from planning through delivery.
Five Easy Steps to Natural Gas Service
Here's how we work together with you:
-
Your community identifies a project leader or key contact person to
work with SaskEnergy.
-
Together we determine the project's size, and contact customers in the
project area.
-
SaskEnergy and/or your project leader gives customers information on
natural gas benefits, financing options and project updates.
-
Together we gain the required customers' commitment to the project (by
June 1 for installation in the same calendar year).
-
Once you've committed to the project, SaskEnergy will ensure timely
installation of your natural gas lines.
Your Project Costs
We commit to invest in each project on a per-customer basis; your
community's contribution will be the total cost of the project less our
investment per customer.
SaskEnergy is able to provide you with
financing options.
Your SaskEnergy representative will be pleased to calculate the total
costs and provide you with a complete cost breakdown of your proposed
project.
