System Integrity Management Program

SaskEnergy's system integrity management program goal is to provide a safe and reliable operation of all distribution system facilities, such as regulator/metering stations, distribution mains and services.

This program includes activities associated with the operation, maintenance and expansion of the SaskEnergy natural gas distribution system and ensures compliance with regulatory and standard operating practices.

The main components of SaskEnergy’s integrity management program include:

• Cathodic protection of steel systems

• Leak surveys

• Participation in Sask 1^st Call line locating service

• Risk based system improvement programs

• Operator training and qualification programs

SaskEnergy continues to support and participate in the development and refinement of system integrity standards and best practices with other natural gas distribution companies.
