At a Media Conference held Thursday January 12th, 2006, the board of directors of the 2006 Saskatchewan Winter Games announced the following commitment of financial support:

Included in the support was the announcement that SaskEnergy is the Official Sponsor of Volunteers - "The Champion of Volunteers".

"SaskEnergy has been a faithful sponsor of the Saskatchewan Winter and Summer Games for many years, helping to develop competitive sport in the province and prepare athletes for competition on the National stage. In addition, we are proud to be the Champion of Volunteers, the venue sponsor for Figure Skating and provide our Flame of Warmth for the duration of the Games," said Leslie Gosselin, Manager or Advertising and Community Relations for SaskEnergy.

Games Co-Chairs, Dwayne Usselman and Neil Shewchuk are pleased with the support they have received from the community to date. "We are very proud to have these sponsors show their support of the 2006 Saskatchewan Winter Games," says Dwayne Usselman, Games Co-Chair.
