SaskEnergy joins the Canadian Gas Association (CGA) in recognizing Natural Gas Utility Workers’ Day on October 10. SaskEnergy’s employees support local communities through the safe and reliable delivery of natural gas services across Saskatchewan.

“Our employees work diligently behind the scenes all year round so customers have access to the energy they need to heat their homes and run their businesses. Even during our coldest winter days, SaskEnergy employees maintain our system to 99.99% reliability,” said Ken From, President and CEO. “I want to take this opportunity to acknowledge the personal commitment of these hard-working individuals.”

SaskEnergy employees serve more than 400,000 customers across Saskatchewan through the company’s 86,000 kilometres of natural gas lines. They secure affordable and predictable prices for customers, maintain system safety and integrity, and deliver essential energy reliably and responsibly to residents, businesses and industries.

“Saskatchewan customers have recognized our employees’ good work through high customer satisfaction ratings year after year,” said From. “Today I would like to thank all SaskEnergy employees for their dedication and contribution to the company and the province.”

CGA recognized the first Natural Gas Utility Workers’ Day in 2020. October 10 marks the final weld on the cross-Canada natural gas mainline infrastructure system in 1957.
