Your Home Breathes Too

As homes become more airtight with the installation of energy efficient equipment and the introduction of new building codes, it’s important to remember the need for proper ventilation. New and old homes can benefit from an air exchange system such as an ENERGY STAR certified heat recovery ventilator (HRV).

An HRV brings the fresh air in and takes the stale air out. This helps to reduce indoor air pollution and will help control extra moisture that can cause mould or other issues. While opening doors and windows can help with the exchange of fresh air, that option allows heat to escape - making your heating system work harder and waste energy.
