SaskEnergy is proud to be named one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for the second year in a row.

Now celebrating its 24th year, Canada’s Top 100 Employers is an annual competition by Mediacorp Canada Inc., recognizing the best workplaces throughout the country.

For 2024, SaskEnergy is being honoured for its formal remote work program, increased duration of maternity and parental leave for new and adoptive parents, and long-term support through a defined contribution pension plan and retirement planning assistance.

“I am once again pleased to congratulate SaskEnergy on being named one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers. Saskatchewan is a great place to live, work, and raise a family and employers like SaskEnergy help make that possible,” Minister Responsible for SaskEnergy Dustin Duncan said. “SaskEnergy delivers safe, reliable, and affordable energy year-round to 93 per cent of Saskatchewan’s communities while also providing over 1,100 people in our province with a rewarding workplace environment where they can thrive.”

Mediacorp Canada Inc. evaluates companies on eight categories: Workplace, Work Atmosphere & Social, Health, Financial & Family Benefits, Vacation & Time Off, Employee Communications, Performance Management, Training & Skills Development, and Community Involvement.

Last year, judges recognized SaskEnergy’s maternity and paternity leave options, defined contribution pension plan, and hybrid remote-work policy as some of the reasons for honouring the Corporation with the prestigious designation.

“This recognition is a testament to the amazing people working at SaskEnergy, and the positive workplace culture we have created together,” SaskEnergy’s President and CEO Mark Guillet said. “I’m proud to work with this great team every day and honoured that we were recognized as one of Canada’s Top Employers for another year.”

Employers selected for Canada’s Top 100 Employers 2023 are announced in a special magazine published in The Globe & Mail.
