Mr. Sylvester (C.Dir., S.V.M.) has been a member of SaskEnergy’s Board of Directors since August 2019 and is a member of the Human Resources and Safety Committee.

A former National Account Manager for Sofina Foods Inc., he has more than four decades of experience and leadership in the consumer-packaged goods sector. Currently he is a Senior Strategic Advisor with MAX Power Mining Corporation, a natural hydrogen exploration and development company.

Mr. Sylvester is a dedicated community leader, currently serving as Chair of the Jubilee Residents Foundation and is an active member of the Optimist Club of Saskatoon. He recently served as Chair of the District Planning Commission P4G, is a Past Chair of the Sandra Schmirler Foundation, former President and Chair of the OSP Community Development Corporation and previously served on the Board of Directors for the Information Services Corporation.

Honoured for his community contributions, he is a proud recipient of the Saskatchewan Centennial Medal, the Toyota Never Quits Award, the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond and Platinum Jubilee Medals, the King Charles III Coronation Medal, and the Saskatchewan Volunteer Medal.

He holds a Chartered Director designation from McMaster University, a Business Marketing diploma from Conestoga College, and a Business Administration Certificate from the University of Saskatchewan. Mr. Sylvester lives in Saskatoon, with his wife Linda, near his children and grandchildren.
