We are proud to once again be named as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers!

Canada's Top 100 Employers is awarded annually by MediaCorp since 2000. The competition recognizes companies that create exceptional workplaces for their employees.

For 2024, the Top 100 competition judges cited our formal remote work program, our increased duration of maternity and parental leave for new and adoptive parents, as well as our long-term support through a defined contribution pension plan and retirement planning assistance as some of the reasons for their decision to recognize SaskEnergy.

“Our employees are the driving force behind SaskEnergy being such a special place to work,” says Mark Guillet, President and CEO. “I’m extremely proud to work alongside our dedicated team members throughout the province and am pleased that our company has once again received this national recognition.”

Mediacorp Canada Inc. evaluates companies on eight categories:

  • Workplace;
  • Work atmosphere and social;
  • Health, financial and family benefits;
  • Vacation and time off;
  • Employee communications;
  • Performance management;
  • Training and skills development; and,
  • Community Involvement.

Elmer Hollinger, Operations Manager in the Yorkton area, generously donates his time to his community. He appreciates that SaskEnergy has been supportive of him and shares his commitment to helping others.

Elmer is a key part of SaskEnergy being known as Saskatchewan’s Champion of Volunteers. Each month, he volunteers up to 20 hours either through SaskEnergy-led initiatives or with outside organizations.

Among the many things he’s involved with are helping get trees donated for a new playground at a local elementary school, organizing a garbage cleanup along a five-kilometre walking trail, and dropping the puck at a Goals for KidSport Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League game.

“I know that a lot of things don’t happen without volunteers,” says Elmer. “It’s nice to see SaskEnergy being a proud supporter of those who support others or their community.”

SaskEnergy’s commitment to have every employee and contractor go home safely each day was also highlighted.

“Having a safe, reliable system is a core value at SaskEnergy,” says Mark. “Our staff deserve a lot of credit for the enthusiasm and eagerness they show to ensure the safety of our own people as well as the public.”

Elmer also appreciates the learning and development programs he’s had access to throughout his 11-year career with SaskEnergy.

“I can’t believe how many opportunities are available,” says Elmer. “If you show interest, SaskEnergy will support you.”
