Mrs. Gailey joined SaskEnergy’s Board of Directors in 2023 and is a member of the Environmental, Social and Governance Committee.
An educator in her home community of La Loche, Mrs. Gailey has served as the Principal of Ducharme Elementary School since 2016. She began her teaching career after earning a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Saskatchewan/NORTEP in 2010, and has since received a Master of Education from the University of Regina/NORTEP.
Mrs. Gailey serves on the Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation’s Indigenous Leadership Advisory Committee, and has worked with the Ministry of Education and Métis Nation-Saskatchewan to offer a Dene language kindergarten immersion program.
Mrs. Gailey is actively involved in her community, serving organizations such as the La Loche Paw Protection animal rescue, the Dave O’Hara Community Library, and the La Loche Sport, Recreation and Culture board, among many others.
In 2020, Mrs. Gailey received the Saskatoon YWCA’s Women of Distinction Saskatchewan Spirit Award, which recognizes a woman who has inspired many, broken new ground or old barriers, and contributed — outside of Saskatoon — to the life of our province.
