Service Technician Qualifying Position (STQP)
STQP is an entry-level field position that allows you to train under the guidance of an experienced Service Technician. Participation in the two (2) year internal program is the first step to becoming a fully qualified Service Technician that works in the installation, operation and maintenance of our natural gas facilities.

Students
Co-operative Education
We are here to support you in enhancing your resume while gaining valuable work experience in your field of study.
Co-op positions start in January, May or September for four month terms, with the opportunity for an extension. To be eligible, you must be enrolled in the Co-op Program at your post-secondary institution offered through the University of Saskatchewan, University of Regina or Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
Summer Work Experience
Our Summer Student Program provides a valuable work experience and allows you to earn some money over the summer break. We hire Summer Students in a variety of departments and locations, both in office and field settings.
Available positions are posted early in the calendar year. To qualify, you must be:
- Enrolled as a post-secondary student on a full-time basis for the fall and winter semesters
- Returning to school full-time in the fall
- Available from May to August
Scholarships
Every year, we award scholarships to post-secondary recipients through the SaskEnergy Scholarship Investment Plan.
