For years, SaskEnergy's Prud’homme Compressor Station has been more than a hub for energy — it’s been a hidden sanctuary for nesting birds. “We've been managing nesting birds at the station for more than 10 years. On a sunny day in June, a team of SaskEnergy employees met with an Indigenous Elder, consultants, and the Mayor of St. Louis, Saskatchewan. They wanted to begin a pipeline replacement project, occurring within village limits, with care and respect. A quarter century ago, our construction crews were a main attraction for children spending their summers at Kenosee Provincial Park.
