We are currently in the process of transitioning to a new style of meter on residential properties. The new meter:
• Is smaller and requires less space
• Is the most up-to-date technology for natural gas service
• Has no moving mechanical parts that can easily wear out
• Will reduce the need for routine maintenance
• Meets Canadian Standards Association (CSA) certification and radio frequency standards (RF) set out by Health Canada
Be assured your gas consumption will be recorded the same way it is today, and meter reads will be sent automatically.
Good Things Take Time
This is an exciting change. As the meter on your property becomes due for exchange, you may receive the new style of meter. To upgrade all meters across the province will take several years.
