SaskEnergy has been Saskatchewan's Champion of Volunteers for nearly 25 years. Now, we are saddling up with Canadian Western Agribition as volunteer sponsor for the 2024 event. This year’s Agribition, which takes place from November 25-30 in Regina, will need the help of more than 350 volunteers. The curlers weren’t the only ones hurrying hard at the 2025 BKT World Men’s Curling Championship — with 13 teams and over 75,000 fans attending nine days of curling action, it was the efforts of the more than 300 volunteers who made the event a success! Students from the Grade 6 class at Leader Composite School had the opportunity to learn firsthand about the importance of preserving Saskatchewan’s Southwest Sandhills. Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) hosted a tour of the Sandhills Cave Pasture, which allowed the students to explore the area, discovering the many animals, insects and plants that call it home.
