SaskEnergy’s Tracy Tangen knew about the Cave Pasture long before volunteering for cleanup duty at the former ranch a few weeks ago. Born and raised in the Swift Current area, Tracy has always appreciated the “scenic beauty” of this 286-hectare property just north of the city. Attending a sweat lodge for the first time can be a powerful experience. Every year, the North Central Community Association organizes a clean-up to help get rid of garbage and large items in the inner-city neighbourhood before winter arrives. This year, the clean-up faced a new challenge — heavy rain, but that didn’t stop volunteers from showing up and doing their part. “The rain was constant during the clean-up, but things still went well,” says Misty-Lee Bird, a SaskEnergy employee who helped out along with her partner Jamey. “People in North Central don’t always have a way to get rid of big items, so even though we were soaked, it felt good to help.” Volunteers...

Colourful canoes and kayaks, all lined up and ready to race, filled the south side of Wascana Lake at the end of August for the 2025 Canoe Kayak Canada Sprint National Championships. These championships drew more than 900 athletes from all over Canada to Regina. With so many athletes and races, it was all hands on deck to help the event run smoothly. This holiday season, SaskEnergy employees helped bring joy to classrooms across Saskatchewan through our annual Santa Store initiative. These pop-up stores give kids the chance to pick out gifts for their family members while learning the joy of giving.
