Safety remained a core focus in 2017-18 as the corporation dedicated $109 million toward increasing safety across its more than 85,000 kilometres of pipelines. Beginning today, homeowners can apply for a free home heating tune-up through SaskEnergy’s Tune-up Assistance Program (TAP). Today the Government of Saskatchewan approved an increase to SaskEnergy’s Delivery Service Rate of 3.6 per cent to begin November 1, 2017. On average, the increase to residential customers will be an additional $1.65 per month or about $20 annually. SaskEnergy is incentivizing customers to build new homes at higher energy efficiency levels than required by the current National Building Code of Canada 2020.
