As the weather turns cold, our customers rely on natural gas to heat their homes and businesses. SaskEnergy plans year-round to provide Saskatchewan residents with the energy they need. One of the ways we meet the demand for energy is with storage caverns. Storage caverns are large underground cavities where we can safely store natural gas. Every day, the Saskatoon Friendship Inn welcomes people who need a hot meal, a safe place to go and a sense of community. As more people turn to the organization for help, volunteers play an important role in supporting its work. Recently, six SaskEnergy employees spent an afternoon volunteering at the Friendship Inn. They helped with the busy lunch service and donated food and personal care items. The Friendship Inn serves hot, nutritious meals every day of the year, providing up to 2,000 meals daily.
