Every day, the Regina Food Bank helps about 500 families — and that number keeps growing. During the holiday season, the need is even greater, making extra help from volunteers essential. Recently, two groups of SaskEnergy employees spent time at the Food Bank, sorting and organizing food donations. At the end of July, 12 co-op and summer students from SaskEnergy spent two days volunteering at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Regina. For Samarth Soni, a co-op student in our Enterprise Networks team, it was his first time volunteering with Habitat for Humanity. What started as a simple idea has quickly grown into a program making a real difference for students across Saskatchewan. Every day, the Saskatoon Friendship Inn welcomes people who need a hot meal, a safe place to go and a sense of community. As more people turn to the organization for help, volunteers play an important role in supporting its work. Recently, six SaskEnergy employees spent an afternoon volunteering at the Friendship Inn.
