SaskEnergy has been Saskatchewan's Champion of Volunteers for nearly 25 years. Now, we are saddling up with Canadian Western Agribition as volunteer sponsor for the 2024 event. This year’s Agribition, which takes place from November 25-30 in Regina, will need the help of more than 350 volunteers. Students got the answers to these questions and more as part of Cade Sprackman Safety Day events that took place in Tisdale and Melville during May. A beautiful late summer day in the Qu’Appelle Valley set the stage for a powerful and heartwarming experience as 25 SaskEnergy employees, families and friends attended the Treaty Four Powwow in Fort Qu-Appelle on Saturday, September 20. For weeks, Ross Carolan and his family felt sick but didn’t know why. Ross, his wife and their two young children were all feeling lethargic and coughing. Even their cat was irritable instead of her usual friendly self. This was in fall 2022. In what seemed like an unrelated issue at the time, the humidifier on Ross’s furnace had been leaking water, so he contacted a plumbing and heating company. This call may have saved their lives. What started as a simple idea has quickly grown into a program making a real difference for students across Saskatchewan.
