How to Participate:

1

Find a Home Builder you trust

The Regina & Region Home Builders' Association and the Saskatoon & Region Home Builders' Association provide lists of Home Builders in Saskatchewan. Work with your Home Builder to determine which efficiency upgrades are right for your new home.

2

Your Home Builder works with the experts

Your Home Builder will help you choose the energy efficiency level of your home. They work with an Energy Advisor who will conduct an energy model. Once the home is built, the Energy Advisor completes an inspection and test to ensure tier 3, 4 or 5 has been achieved.

3

Home Builder submits documentation to SaskEnergy

Your Home Builder will submit the required information to SaskEnergy for review. Once SaskEnergy approves the Builder for their rebate, you are eligible to apply for the homeowner rebate.

4

Apply for your homeowner rebate

Complete the online application form and submit. Your application must be received within 90 days of natural gas service being transferred into your name.

5

Rebate issued

Once we receive your application and match it with the approved application from your Home Builder, a rebate cheque will be mailed within 6-8 weeks.

Due to a Canada Post labour disruption, you may experience a delay in receiving your rebate cheque.
