Raising a tipi is about more than building a shelter. This was one of many lessons learned by teams in the Glen Anaquod Tipi Raising Competition. Four teams from SaskEnergy joined others from the community at the University of Regina in late September to take part in the annual event. For the first time ever, the Vanier Cup will be played in Regina and SaskEnergy will be the Official Volunteer Sponsor for the U Sports national football championship. There is a lot of good that sharing a little warmth can do. In honour of the 30th anniversary of SaskEnergy’s Share the Warmth program, we launched Share the Warmth Days. The initiative — which ran until February 13 — featured a series of events across the province aimed at highlighting community-based organizations who bring warmth, including shelter, food, clothing and mental health services, to those who need it most. Each year, WorkSafe Saskatchewan recognizes individuals and organizations for the Safe Worker and Safe Employer Awards who are nominated by their workplace peers and colleagues. In 2025, the Safe Worker Award went to one of SaskEnergy’s own, Customer Service Representative Sandee Jordon of Regina. What better time to recognize Saskatchewan contractors who are dedicated to safe digging practices than during Dig Safe Month? This April, SaskEnergy launched the Safe Digging Excellence Award to recognize and celebrate contractors who reduce the risk of damage to underground infrastructure by following safe digging practices.
