Services and charges As your natural gas utility, our goal is to ensure we manage rates in a fair and equitable way. In most cases, natural gas is more affordable than other energy source options. SaskEnergy rate charges on your bill are made up of three parts: 1. SaskEnergy’s natural gas equipment is designed to operate safely in Saskatchewan’s temperatures. However, heavy snow, ice buildup, or unsafe snow removal can damage our facilities and increase the risk of a gas leak or disruption to service.
