Every day, the Regina Food Bank helps about 500 families — and that number keeps growing. During the holiday season, the need is even greater, making extra help from volunteers essential. Every year, the North Central Community Association organizes a clean-up to help get rid of garbage and large items in the inner-city neighbourhood before winter arrives. Through initiatives in Moose Jaw, Weyburn and Regina, teams came together to support care homes and schools, bringing joy and connection to people who need it most. SaskEnergy’s team in Weyburn has repeatedly shown that they are a generous and hardworking bunch! As part of SaskEnergy’s commitment to environmental sustainability, a pilot project at our Regina Service Centre (RSC) is tracking real-time energy consumption, which will help us to reduce our emissions at that location. For most of this year, Regina-based energy management company Greenwave Innovations has been collecting round-the-clock data from 105 different monitoring points at RSC, which is one of our larger sites. As the weather turns cold, our customers rely on natural gas to heat their homes and businesses. SaskEnergy plans year-round to provide Saskatchewan residents with the energy they need. One of the ways we meet the demand for energy is with storage caverns. Storage caverns are large underground cavities where we can safely store natural gas.
