In April 2025, SaskEnergy completed work on our eighth solar array installation, two years after the first large-scale solar power system was installed at one of our Town Border Stations in Regina. This holiday season, SaskEnergy employees helped bring joy to classrooms across Saskatchewan through our annual Santa Store initiative. Our First Nations Furnace Replacement Rebate program is just one of many ways SaskEnergy is helping our customers. This was one of several programs we introduced in 2023-24, which are highlighted in our annual report. Yellow Quill First Nation in east-central Saskatchewan is benefiting from this rebate program. For weeks, Ross Carolan and his family felt sick but didn’t know why. Ross, his wife and their two young children were all feeling lethargic and coughing. Even their cat was irritable instead of her usual friendly self. This was in fall 2022. In what seemed like an unrelated issue at the time, the humidifier on Ross’s furnace had been leaking water, so he contacted a plumbing and heating company. This call may have saved their lives. At the end of July, 12 co-op and summer students from SaskEnergy spent two days volunteering at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Regina. For Samarth Soni, a co-op student in our Enterprise Networks team, it was his first time volunteering with Habitat for Humanity.
