Soaked But Strong: Volunteers Brave the Rain to Help Clean Up
Every year, the North Central Community Association organizes a clean-up to help get rid of garbage and large items in the inner-city neighbourhood before winter arrives. Colourful canoes and kayaks, all lined up and ready to race, filled the south side of Wascana Lake at the end of August for the 2025 Canoe Kayak Canada Sprint National Championships. SaskEnergy is teaming up with KidSport Saskatchewan and the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) to help more kids participate in sport. Under the Goals for KidSport program, SaskEnergy will donate $20 to KidSport for every home goal scored by an SJHL team during the league’s 2022-23 regular season—up to 1,000 goals or $20,000.
