SaskEnergy applies for first commodity rate increase in seven years; remains second lowest in Canada

SaskEnergy has applied to the Saskatchewan Rate Review Panel to increase its commodity rate, which would continue to be the lowest in Western Canada and the second lowest in the country. The proposed commodity rate of $3.15/gigajoule (GJ), up from $2.58/GJ, would increase the average residential customer’s bill by $5.65 per month. SaskEnergy Continues to Offer Tune-Up Assistance Program for Another Year

SaskEnergy is once again offering its Tune-Up Assistance Program (TAP) to income-qualifying homeowners in Saskatchewan. SaskEnergy extends carbon monoxide safety rebate

In support of carbon monoxide (CO) safety awareness, and after a successful launch of the program, SaskEnergy is extending its CO alarm rebate offer until March 31, 2021. SaskEnergy initially partnered with retailers across Saskatchewan to offer a $10 rebate on the purchase of CO alarms from November 2, 2020 to January 31, 2021. SaskEnergy focused on customers and the environment in 2021-22

SaskEnergy provided value to customers throughout 2021-22 — including the lowest residential natural gas bills in Canada — while delivering strong financial results on behalf of the people of Saskatchewan. SaskEnergy funds carbon capture at Regina Airport

SaskEnergy and the Regina Airport Authority (RAA) are piloting the use of new technology in Saskatchewan that could reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the main heating system at the Regina International Airport (YQR) by about 20 per cent, helping the RAA to achieve its environmental goals. SaskEnergy “going solar” to cut emissions at Town Border Stations

SaskEnergy has converted its Town Border Station in southwest Regina to generate solar power as part of its commitment to cut emissions.
