Promoting Safety through Indigenous Art
At SaskEnergy, safety is a core value and a top priority. We are committed to the safety of the public through the promotion of messages such as ‘what to do if there is a natural gas leak’ and the importance of ‘digging safely’ near natural gas lines. To amplify Indigenous voices in our province and create authentic artwork, SaskEnergy collaborated with Jade Roberts, Indigenous educator and artist.
We recognize the success of creating a safe community depends on collaboration and learning through the telling of stories. SaskEnergy is grateful for the opportunity to work with Jade to grow our understanding of Indigenous culture and language. Our team is dedicated to supporting the Truth and Reconciliation journey and honouring the spirit of Indigenous people.
The artwork is featured on signs in 52 First Nation communities throughout Saskatchewan.
