SaskEnergy today announced it has applied to the Saskatchewan Rate Review Panel to lower its Commodity Rate from $3.65/Gigajoule (GJ) to $2.65/GJ, effective April 1 st, 2019. SaskEnergy is also asking the Panel to approve a 3.7% Delivery Service Rate increase for April 1 st, 2019. In 2016-17, SaskEnergy recorded income before unrealized market value adjustments of $70 million, compared to $86 million for the 12-month period ending March 31, 2016. The corporation declared a dividend of $29 million to Crown Investments Corporation (CIC), based on 2016-17 income before unrealized market value adjustments. SaskEnergy is once again offering its Tune-Up Assistance Program (TAP) to income-qualifying homeowners in Saskatchewan.
