SaskEnergy joins with SJHL and KidSport to help youth participate in sport

SaskEnergy is teaming up with KidSport Saskatchewan and the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) to help more kids participate in sport. Under the Goals for KidSport program, SaskEnergy will donate $20 to KidSport for every home goal scored by an SJHL team during the league’s 2022-23 regular season—up to 1,000 goals or $20,000. Many people in Regina were a little warmer, happier and healthier this holiday season thanks to the generous support of SaskEnergy staff. “This is the time of year to reflect on what is really important in life and to highlight the importance of giving, especially to those who need it most,” says SaskEnergy employee Wendi Frederick. In early December, Wendi led a campaign to build feminine hygiene kits to donate to various organizations in Regina and quickly found support from her coworkers. SaskEnergy supports community safety through cleanup events

For several years running, SaskEnergy employees have volunteered their time to support annual community cleanups in Regina and Yorkton. In Regina on May 11, SaskEnergy pitched in at the North Central Community Association (NCCA)’s annual community cleanup to help make the central Regina neighbourhood a bit cleaner and safer. SaskEnergy is helping community groups “Share the Warmth” this winter

One of SaskEnergy’s flagship community programs—Share the Warmth—is back to support Saskatchewan people in need this winter. Goals for KidSport scores more than $20,000 with an assist from SaskEnergy

The Goals for KidSport program wrapped up another season with more than $20,000 raised to help ease financial barriers for youth involved in sports. The program is a three-way partnership between SaskEnergy and its Network Members, the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) and KidSport. At the end of July, 12 co-op and summer students from SaskEnergy spent two days volunteering at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Regina.
