Education

Scholarships

Each year, SaskEnergy sponsors hundreds of community events and programs throughout Saskatchewan. In addition, we support future leaders by making it easier for students to earn their post-secondary education. We provide funds to the following universities and technical schools:

More than 60 scholarships are awarded each year; a quarter of them go to Indigenous students.

Apply for these scholarships through your school.

Environmental Programs

Our commitment to the environment includes reaching out to Saskatchewan classrooms. In 2019, SaskEnergy paired up with Earth Rangers to create the national Earth Month campaign "Stand Up for the Little Guy". Canada's prairie grasslands and its inhabitants such as the black-tailed prairie dog, burrowing owl, Ord's kangaroo rat, loggerhead shrike, and swift fox were the focus of the campaign.

The "Stand Up for the Little Guy" campaign proved to be the most successful Earth Month campaign ever for Earth Rangers, engaging over 40,000 youth across Canada and 6,000 students in Saskatchewan.

In 2020 and as part of a joint sponsorship with Nature Conservancy of Canada, the focus will be on the threatened Western Bumblebee, a critical prairie pollinator.
