The curlers weren’t the only ones hurrying hard at the 2025 BKT World Men’s Curling Championship — with 13 teams and over 75,000 fans attending nine days of curling action, it was the efforts of the more than 300 volunteers who made the event a success! The Saskatchewan Winter Games truly are for everyone. This was demonstrated through efforts to make volunteering accessible at this year’s Games, and through cultural celebrations showcasing the diversity of our province. SaskEnergy was proud to be the Champion of Volunteers for the 50th Saskatchewan Winter Games, a youth sporting celebration that took place in Regina from February 19 to 25, supported by 700 volunteers. Effective January 1, 2023, line locates in Saskatchewan are valid for 30 calendar days, up from 10 business days. A line locate involves the use of flags, stakes or paint to mark the location of buried utility lines. Line locates are available free of charge to help you plan safe digging activities. Having a longer expiry period provides more flexibility when planning projects and aligns Saskatchewan with other provinces and jurisdictions that already use a 30-day window for line locates.
