Saskatchewan sets new one-day natural gas consumption record

A new record for daily natural gas consumption in the province was set over the weekend due to the cold temperatures, along with high natural gas consumption and new customer growth. In the 24-hour period on Saturday, January 16 th to Sunday, January 17 th, TransGas, the natural gas transmission subsidiary of SaskEnergy, delivered 1.29 PetaJoules (PJ) of natural gas to its customers in Saskatchewan. Safety reasons force removal of more services at Last Mountain Lake

Due to continued high levels of ground movement in key zones within six Last Mountain Lake communities, SaskEnergy today announced it will be permanently removing natural gas service for about 250 property owners, or about 16% of its customer base in the area.
