What started as a simple idea has quickly grown into a program making a real difference for students across Saskatchewan. On a sunny day in June, a team of SaskEnergy employees met with an Indigenous Elder, consultants, and the Mayor of St. Louis, Saskatchewan. They wanted to begin a pipeline replacement project, occurring within village limits, with care and respect. There is a lot of good that sharing a little warmth can do. In honour of the 30th anniversary of SaskEnergy’s Share the Warmth program, we launched Share the Warmth Days. For several years running, SaskEnergy employees have volunteered their time to support annual community cleanups in Regina and Yorkton. In Regina on May 11, SaskEnergy pitched in at the North Central Community Association (NCCA)’s annual community cleanup to help make the central Regina neighbourhood a bit cleaner and safer. More than 20 employees and their family members assisted in filling nine oversized garbage bins with difficult-to-dispose items.
